Matt Offerman hails from the hamlet of Minooka, IL, a burgeoning metropolis located in the lush cornfields of northern Illinois. Matt began his professional career walking beans in those same fields. That is until St. Mary’s Catholic Church brought Matt in to keep its grounds. While working there, Matt learned that you shouldn’t run with a lawnmower. Matt then moved down the street and learned the secrets of life while working as a custodian at the local grade school. After having his fill of refinishing floors, Matt moved to L.A. and got a job refinishing antique furniture. Matt was new to town and had a lot of time on his hands, so he got a 2nd job at a bar and grille as a custodian. Instead of refinishing floors or antiques, Matt now refinished attitudes, which is in fact quite therapeutic. One night at the bar and grille, the crazy guy who sings on the patio asked Matt if he’d like to come and work for him. Turns out this crazy guy was the V.P. of a mortgage company. So, Matt then began a new career, refinishing interest rates. This was a very rewarding ($) job for Matt, that is, until the company closed in the great mortgage drought of Aught 7. Fortunately, CaptionMax came to the rescue and hired Matt. Now Matt gets to refinish modem connections, which is also quite therapeutic.
