Anna is a proud native of Minnesota.  She survived the hell of public school as a liberal nerd in a socially conservative western suburb, and went on to enjoy the sweet bliss of college, studying linguistics and gender, women, and sexuality studies at the University of MN (Duluth 1 year and TC 3.5 years). She also had the great privilege of spending a semester in Florence, eating pizza, staring at art, and sitting in Boboli gardens at every opportunity.  She enjoys writing immensely and has been published once. She hopes it's not the last time.

She has a full and varied list of former job titles, including ice-cream scooper, barista, child care provider, interactive-TV operator, historical Segway tour guide,  blueprint archivist, sex educator in a feminist-owned sex toy store, English teacher in Busan, South Korea, bread slicer, and ever so briefly, cashier at a co-op.

She could not be happier working at CaptionMax.  Her amazing swing shift counterparts and learning new things from each project make every shift exciting and fun. Her desk is awesome, and is home to a mini-foosball table and a teacup orchid named Matilda.

When not at CaptionMax, Anna can be found cruising the interwebs, blogging about gender or sexuality, drinking craft beer, eating delicious food, finding new music to listen to, watching movies or one of many hilarious TV shows,  walking and talking with her best friend Kara, or spending time with her wonderful family.
