Blinded in a car accident at age 20, Ardis Bazyn is an active leader in the blind community, serving as Membership Chair for the national organization American Council of the Blind. She is also an active volunteer in other ways, serving on the California Secretary of State's advisory committee for the"Help America Vote Act" (HAVA) and on the board of Randolph-Sheppard Vendors of America.
Self-employed as an author and motivational speaker, she is also President of the Independent Visually Impaired Enterprisers.
