Amanda was raised in a small farm town in southeastern Wisconsin. After going to school for 13 years with largely the same group of people, she decided to seek something entirely different in Minneapolis. She studied for five years at the University of Minnesota and graduated with a degree in History (with a focus on 20th century Europe). She worked briefly in customer service and learned firsthand that people will make a phone call to ask a stupid question if the call is toll-free. While searching for a job that would make use of her degree and also free her from answering phones, she stumbled upon CaptionMax. Getting paid to watch television and exercise her anal-retentive tendencies has been her dream come true. Doing work that many people enjoy and appreciate sweetens the deal.

Outside of work, Amanda likes to watch television, play video games, and explore the Twin Cities area and its restaurants. Her favorite television shows are comedies, reality shows not involving dating, and cartoons. She is an only child, which truly does explain a lot about her. She's currently enjoying the city life in St. Paul with her husband.
