Hailing from the Great West...ern suburb known as Robbinsdale, MN, Dan said good-bye to that backwater town after high school and decided to explore the Great Unknown (eight miles east at the University of Minnesota). On his epic journey, Dan secured the fabled Bachelor's in English Literature from the gaping maw of Destiny and decided that he would use his new powers for the good of mankind (after kicking his nasty habit of Unnecessary Capitalization).

But fate (cruel, cruel fate) had something else in mind for Dan, casting him out into the unforgiving world of unsatisfying temp work and mind-numbing data entry. But, lo, a shining beacon pierced through the murky swamp of repetitive medical information! Could it be a trick of the fluorescent light? Had the oxygen finally run out in his windowless work area? Had his retinas chosen death's sweet embrace rather than look at the same Microsoft Access screen for another eight hours? Could it really be a Caption Editor position at CaptionMax?

The rest, dear reader, is history.

When not captioning his little heart out, Dan is quite fond of such unique activities as the reading of books, the consumption of fine (and not so fine) cuisine, and the surfing of what he affectionately calls "The Webbernetter." Dan is an aspiring everything. In fact, he has gotten so good at aspiring that he's thinking about going pro.
