Upon graduating from high school in Anoka, Minnesota after spending his early years living in five different states, Jason spent much of his time creating indie music and film projects. He started the website lestersrecords.com as a virtual record label named after his family's oversized backyard shed that served as his high school alternative rock band's practice space. Lester's would later burn to the ground after an unfortunate incident involving the family dog and a space heater. Jason went to Minneapolis Community and Technical College where he earned degrees in both Sound Arts and Video Digital Arts. Jason has produced ten music CDs and two feature films in the past eight years under the Lester's Records name. He currently plays in the band Happy Medium and the electronic music project NESter, which has composed music for several Minnesota-produced films. He also helped found and continues to organize the Homegrown Cinema Series, a coninuing series of Minnesota-produced independent film that plays at the Parkway Theater in south Minneapolis. Jason lives in Minneapolis.
