Jonathan grew up in Bismarck, North Dakota, transplanted to Minnesota for college, then chose to stay on as a resident in Minneapolis.

He began work for CaptionMax in September of 2006 after a three-year tenure in sales. It not only felt great to be earning a living from his English major education, measuring the validity of each semicolon he typed, but perhaps most rewarding of all was being able to work for a promising local business in a vital industry.

Outside of work, Jonathan is busy as a photographer and a writer, with many credits in his oeuvre.
