Markie grew up on the high shoreline of the Mighty Mississippi.

She eventually made her way downriver to the TC where she majored in English and Women's Studies and minored in writing. Just when she thought all her dreams had come true, she got a job at CaptionMax and found herself doing something really great: working with imaginative people to create the captions she's enjoyed for years.
