How it Works

What You Do

Send us the master or VHS clone of the video you would like subtitled. If you have a script and translation to the desired language(s), send it along as well. If you don't have a script, we can provide transcription and even translation.

What We Do

We will translate the show, if necessary, and format the script into a subtitle file. Then we carefully time the subtitles to match the program audio. If the program has onscreen graphics, we will move individual subtitles so as not to interfere with existing graphics.

  • DVD subtitle files are stored separately from the video and can be turned on or off at the viewer's discretion.
  • Video subtitles are "burned in" and will always appear when the video plays. CaptionMax's standard home video subtitles appear in a Helvetica-style white font with each letter edged in black
