Activating Description on DVDs/DVD Players

You can look for SAP on either the player or in the DVD's menu.

DVD players:

DVD players rarely have SAP/MTS as an option. If it does exist, it will probably be either in the “Audio Setup” or “Preferences” menu.

DVDs:

Just as DVDs can contain alternate audio tracks for Spanish or French, they can also contain alternate tracks for audio description. Check the DVD’s menu for any relevant option, such as MTS, SAP, DVS, DVI, or even “English with Audio Description.”

Some possible menu sources could include: Setup, Audio Setup and Languages. If you do activate audio description on the DVD, make sure that this option is also set on the television’s menu.
