A few things about Abby:

• She graduated from Moorhead State University with a B.S. in Mass Communications, Emphasis in Print Journalism, and a Certificate in Publishing, falling about two classes short of a minor in Art.




• Abby studied in Lincoln, England, for six months, a small city that embodies everything stereotypically British (pigeons, cobblestone streets, cathedrals older than our country, legendary pubs, etc.). She loved it. She returned to Fargo, North Dakota, with a European fashion sense that no one caught onto until two years later. Unfortunately, she was back in Cuddle Duds and a parka four days after her flight home.




• She’s been drawing since her mom can remember and does freelance design and other projects during her spare time. She works on all kinds of things: clothing, greeting cards, kids’ books, tattoos, a comic strip called Poppycock, and logos for various organizations like broomball teams and marathon events. Some of her illustrations were published in a London magazine called Daydream Network. Ever since, she’s determined to get her work published in more publications and is well on her way to achieving her goal.




• Abby’s very lucky to be working with such intelligent, relaxed, and all-around-cool people at CaptionMax in a job that has meaning and cultural importance. Friends will tell you she clapped her hands and bounced after Hammer called her to tell her she was hired.
