Audio Describer

A winning smile. A dark secret. An unhealthy obsession with rhombi. Are these the things that make up a man? Probably not, but they are key components to the latest addition to the CaptionMax X-treme Audio Description team: Chris “The Bear” Luehr (Last name pronounced “Leer,” like the king or the jet). Hailing from Northern Minnesota, Chris followed the haunting call of bagpipes to Macalester College as an undergrad. Struggling with his relationship to the American machine, “The Bear” left the country after graduating and moved to a land so far east, it’s west. He learned much about himself, life, and the history of chopsticks during three years of teaching in China. In brooding defiance of the saying, “Go West, young man,” he moved from the Far East to the East Coast, spending a year in New York City. The recent return to Minnesota leaves Chris feeling both cyclically satisfied and linearly frustrated.

He remains confident that these emotions will soon pass hopes to find comfort and companionship among the lost souls of CaptionMax.
