John Mazza began his career as a teacher working with disadvantaged youth in his home state of Rhode Island, shortly after graduation from Rhode Island College. Degreed in Political Science and with a thirst for the business world, he then joined a start up of a privately held technical staffing firm and relocated to California. Over the next 24 years John’s career focused on developing and growing this entity from a small business concern to revenues in excess of 1.3 Billion.
He left the firm in 2004 and founded a management consulting firm that specialized in change management for small to midsize service companies seeking to grow. Then John’s eldest daughter became severely impaired at age nine due to a stroke and spent almost a year in the hospital. Driven by that experience, John has returned to his roots, passionately applying his business acumen in the pursuit of making accessibility and inclusion a career endeavor. John has been involved with CaptionMax since its creation 15 years ago, retained over the years for various projects until it became abundantly clear that joining as a fulltime player was the optimal scenario. Joining the team as VP of Finance and Human resources, John brings a great deal of energy and enthusiasm to our team.
