In the first eleven years of her life, Kristy lived in ten different homes in about six different cities on two different continents, after which her parents finally stopped moving, much to her chagrin, and settled in St. Paul.

After junior high and high school (during which she moved only three times), she planned to go to college far, far away. However, Concordia University in St. Paul called her name, and the city of St. Paul sucked her in further over the years, until she finally took a momentous step and moved to Minneapolis in 2003.

During the past years, she has appeased her travel obsession by traveling to Israel, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, New Orleans, Key West, Puerto Rico, and New York City.

Besides planning for future overseas and travel experiences and reading as much travel non-fiction as possible, Kristy enjoys: foods, cooking, restaurants, music, concerts, cultures, video games, movies, documentaries, fiction and juvenile fiction, writing and producing comic books with her artist husband, and so on.
