Liz came to CaptionMax after eight years in the trenches as a preschool teacher. She tries not to wipe too many noses but still likes to use candy and stickers as bribes. Besides the teaching background, she has an English degree from the University of Michigan. After a long run as captioner and night-shift supervisor, Liz has now joined ranks with the Lovely Ladies of Minneapolis Project Management and Mud Wrestling Team.

Liz shares her little two-tone green house with two giant black-and-white cats, nerdy-cool husband, Andre, and toddler extraordinaire, Winnie.

Liz is a self-professed pop culture junkie with an extensive history of television study. (What else do you do growing up in the suburban Midwest?) She has an embarrassing wealth of knowledge about late '70s-era sitcoms, teen movies, and generally useless entertainment trivia. She is also a film freak, drawing the line only at anything involving sharks.
