Max has been focused on television post production for 25 years. Prior to starting CaptionMax in 1993, Max served as head of Post Production of one of the country's first digital post-production facilities, editing television programs, commercials, and entertainment videos. Max got his TV engineering experience "on the job."

Max started CaptionMax when the need for quality captioning became apparent after many of his clients commented that there was no place they could go for high-quality AND high-service captioning at affordable rates. With his background in writing, engineering, management, and creative services, he enjoyed the challenge of creating a "one stop" captioning service that would run like a post production facility.

Reared in Berkeley, California, Max enjoys biking, racquetball, metal sculpting, laughing with his family, volunteering for various youth groups -- and watching captioned TV. Max lives with his wife, Suzanne; son, David; and daughter, Eva, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
