Being involved with the communities that are most served by our work is important to us. As a company, we care about the service provided to our clients and the experiences of the end user. To assist us in our continuous improvement, Captionmax has established two external review groups, our Consumer Advisory Board and our Quality Assurance Panel.
Captionmax has maintained a Consumer Advisory Board (C.A.B.) since 1996. Our board provides invaluable input on best practices for accessibility. Members of the board are selected by Captionmax based on their academic credentials and their involvement in the communities that depend on media accessibility services. Current board members are consumers of description and closed captioning, consumer advocates, students, and educators of blind and deaf children. The C.A.B. challenges us, as a company, to constantly improve by providing us a unique opportunity to hear the voice of the consumer firsthand, to ensure the quality of our products, and to guide ongoing innovation. It is our goal to achieve a comprehensive understanding of how consumers interact with the services we are providing. The C.A.B. meets regularly and communicates with members via email, telephone, and screen-reader-compatible surveys. Because we set our quality standards so high, we want to ensure that we are delivering on our promises and providing consumers with the best possible experience.
In addition to our Consumer Advisory Board, we also hire members of the community to form a Quality Assurance Panel. The Quality Assurance Panel provides us with objective, third-party feedback. Quality is always top of mind for us, so having multiple sources for external feedback challenges us to provide the best possible product.
